Box Back Text:

Taken from a newly-surfaced soundboard recordng, First Time Around is a long sought piece of the legendary 1966 tour puzzle.  Among many highlights, it features an electrifying version of "Positively 4th Street" which was dropped from the latter part of the tour.   This double CD is a historical document of Bob Dylan at the peak of his creative power.  On stage, alone with his backup band, his performances are electrifying.   This deluxe package features a 28 page booklet of informative text and photos of interest.

Notes: The booklet features pictures and period notes about Bob Dylan.  Since it doesn't contain any true liner/track notes or modern content about the music, I didn't reproduce it.

This collection features the same concert as Vigotone 198 & 199 (disks 7 & 8 of the Jewels And Binoculars box).   The track breaks differ between the disks, but the content is basically the same.   (The J&B version features a longer "tuning" section at the beginning of the electric set.)
